As of yesterday the new wordpress beta shipped out. The current version number is 3.0 but this is only an very *early beta* so i won’t be installing it directly. Instead i ll wait until the stable release hits the masses and upgrade then. But i will still keep an eye on development since it’s pretty interesting how fast they implement new features.

When you have multiple versions of a post or page in Wordress (in example when there is an autosaved version) you will get the possibility to compare those two or more revisions. As for layout reasons you can choose to compare one file with it self if you check both checkboxes on one file. If you then try to do this, you will enter some secret environment, …. neo.
i know i am probably super late with this, but still, its funny :)
Kaizen (Japanese for “improvement” or “change for the better”) refers to a philosophy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement of processes in manufacturing, engineering, supporting business processes, and management. It has been applied in healthcare, government, banking, and many other industries. When used in the business sense and applied to the workplace, kaizen refers to activities that continually improve all functions, and involves all employees from the CEO to the assembly line workers. It also applies to processes, such as purchasing and logistics, that cross organizational boundaries into the supply chain.[1] By improving standardized activities and processes, kaizen aims to eliminate waste (see lean manufacturing). Kaizen was first implemented in several Japanese businesses after the Second World War, influenced in part by American business and quality management teachers who visited the country. It has since spread throughout the world.[2]

I should look at that more often and find ways to understand and use the philosophy
When your sitting at the trainstation, waiting for your ride home and this wrecked, wine-drinking psycho next to you starts talking about his life and everything, you will be reminded that all those tie-wearing pseudo-individuals are nothing more than skin and routines. Sometimes you may even feel connected to this shithead. Not out of pity, but the energy he sends out. You will see that no one of the others around you is like this. They are not trying to connect, they are self-connected with their iPhone-earplugs.
You don’t have to be this way. Take your headphones, put them in your pocket and enjoy your surroundings. If you don’t like what you see, be aware that your ignorant behaviour made this happen in the first place.
I used the jquery cycle plugin from malsup on one of my clients webpage and witnessed a bug in IE. When the cycled container has no background-color attached it will use the next parent’s.
To workaround this bug all you to do is adding following line to the CSS of the container which gets cycled.
background:transparent!important;
The first time I heard the rap crew from Philadelphia was in the background of some YouTube-video I don’t remember anymore. My friend and I, we were stunned. There’s is not much good hiphop around so we went searching for the artist. We found the ground up myspace page and a whole set of songs free to download! They had two albums released and one more on the oven. Since then their tunes stuck on repeat on my iPod and I felt great.

i hate introposts. they are the reason most of my first-blogging-steps ended rapidly. So i will cut this one short. I just needed to make a statement somewhere what to write about. Since last weeks my head is filled with tutorials and manuals about emacs and org-mode and stuff, i thought i could share some things i stumble upon or learn. I’ll try to stick with an consistent and convinient way of tagging, but am taking no responsability of the big mess of posts wich could emerge over time.
So here goes emacs@mourique, or whatever.
